By means of this WordPress blog, I would like to present some hopefully interesting thoughts, pictures and videos. Topics cover among others Sankt Gallen, Switzerland, education, economics, politics, the United States, Europe, and photography.
In addition there is a rather long pictures- and videos-led report on visiting New York City and Washington.

My name is Tania Percy and I am a research assistant for Michael Berry, a talk radio host in Houston, Texas. He is currently writing a book to serve as a manual for civic activism and is looking for some additional advice from bloggers across the nation and the world. I found your blog online and read through some of the posts. I am hoping you could share what you’ve learned with me, so I can pass it on to Mr. Berry for his book.
Encouraging everyday Americans to get more involved should include a how-to to make it easier and this project is meant to do that.
Please note that by responding you are consenting to being included in Mr. Berry’s book, unless you note otherwise. You may feel free to reply to me or directly to Mr. Berry at MichaelBerry@clearchannel.com
Why did you start writing a blog? What was the purpose?
When did you start your blog?
What were your goals at that time, if any?
Describe any memorable moments that have occurred because of your blog (e.g., response by readers, coverage in other media).
Have you found the experience to be rewarding, and if so, in what way?
If someone wants to make a difference, and has considered either a blog or some format by which to express their opnions, what advice would you give them?
What do you wish you had known when you started your blog?
Is there a blog that you read regularly that I should contact? If so, please send me that person’s email address and I will reach out to them. Or better yet, if you’ll forward this email with your suggestion they reply, that may help.
Finally, any additional suggestions for his book? If you were writing a how-to for civic activism, what would be important to you?
Thank you in advance,
Tania Percy
Hi Sankt, I appreciate your leaving a comment on our group’s blog – http://righteconomics.org. I have two questions for you: 1) Have you done much research on which proposals for reform of the U.S. (and global) capitalist economic systems have seemed most holistic/just to you; and 2) Could it be of interest to you if I sent a copy of our group’s resource list (on economic reform) to you? You can reach me here: bbriley AT gmail DOT com.
Thanks again for your posting.
Your tag cloud has Ron Paul, Milton Freidman, and Walter E. Williams… You’re speaking my language. Good work.
Thank you, Jim.
fantastic post, very informative. I ponder why the other specialists of this sector do not realize this.
You must continue your writing. I’m confident, you’ve a huge
readers’ base already!
Hello, I would like to contact you about the using rights for an image on the blog. I am writing you on behalf of a non-commercial project. I would be happy to receive your e-mail address, so I can send you more information. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hello Astrid, Thanks for asking. Which picture do you want to use? In principle you can use the pictures for non-commercial purposes. I am happy to hear about the project though!
Hello, thank you for the fast feedback. I would like to use the picture of the World Bank. I am writing you on behalft of the RomArchive Section Politics of Photography. RomArchive is a non-commercial project supported by the Federal Cultural Foundation (of Germany) which aims at making art of Sinti and Roma visible in an international digital archive. The archive section aims at building an ethical archive model, which is not shaped by racializing structures.
One part of the project is to build up an internal archive for research purposes. The other part will be a curated online exhibition on a website that will be launched in October 2018. Is your image under any cc-license? If not, it would be great if you could sign an agreement. I would like to send you more information, but would need to send attachments. So maybe you could send me your e-mail address?
Very interesting. It’s a picture I took myself. You can use it without any further approval.
If you want / require a email allowing you to use the picture, please post your email and I’ll get back to you.
Great! For legal reasons, please send me an email to photo.coordination.romarchive@gmail.com. I thought you could already see my email in my previous comments.
