For the National Review, Charles Krauthammer takes a look at what Ron Paul’s campaign might head for. Up to now, one of the best articles on this subject.
His goal is to have the second-most delegates, a position of leverage from which to influence the platform and demand a prime-time speaking slot — before deigning to support the nominee at the end. The early days of the convention, otherwise devoid of drama, could very well be all about Paul.
It might also be that Ron Paul is laying the foundation for his son Rand to run in 2016. At least, it seems that Rand Paul follows in his father’s footsteps:
